How AI Duh Works
AI Duh's intelligent responses are drawn from three key sources:
- Property-Specific Knowledge Base: Upload a document (up to 800 words) detailing your property's unique features, amenities, local information (restaurants, attractions), and any relevant instructions or guidelines. This allows AI Duh to provide accurate and contextually relevant answers.
- Guest Data: AI Duh seamlessly integrates with HostAway to access essential reservation details, including guest names, dates, number of guests, pets, and payment information. This ensures personalized and accurate responses.
- Previous Chat History: To maintain conversational continuity and provide a seamless guest experience, AI Duh utilizes the history of previous interactions between you and the guest.
AI Technology Behind AI Duh
During the beta phase, AI Duh utilizes both OpenAI GPT-4 and GPT NeoX 20B. The quality of responses generated by these models is exceptionally high, often indistinguishable from human-written text.
Response Quality
Rigorous testing has shown that AI Duh generates responses with a quality score of 4 (good) or 5 (great) in 88.2% of cases. These responses typically require no editing and can be sent directly to the guest. For the remaining cases, AI Duh significantly speeds up the response process by pre-filling the response field, making even minor edits far quicker than composing a response from scratch.
Pricing and Availability
Due to the cost of utilizing state-of-the-art AI models, the estimated pricing for the AI Duh Chrome extension is approximately $95 per month per listing after the beta period. Currently, all users are considered beta users and enjoy a 14-day free trial and a lifetime price lock of $49 per month per listing (up to 300 queries per month per listing).
Future Plans
AI Duh is actively developing support for mobile devices, other platforms beyond HostAway, and additional browsers. Further updates are expected in the first quarter of 2025.
